I have a box. It is made with 4'x8' sheets of plywood. One end is open to crawl in and the other has wall studs 16" O/C. I attached o-crews inside the box to attach wires to work through. You can remove the wires, slide in a subfloor on the wall slats (that are two feet up from the floor) you can then have the firefighter crawl on this raised floor and then dump them into the bottom of the box (filled with foam) to simulate floor collapse, and calling the mayday. I also use sheetrock on the studded wall for wall breaching, low profile access/egress and we have also used longer wires with those drop in ceiling tiles to simulate a ceiling collapse and wires entanglement.
That looks absolutely horrid!
(not in a negative way)
I normally don't get all tight-chested doing firefighter survival stuff that looks reallll tough. Great prop.
We also have a prop to do bailouts or practice getting a downed FF out of a window. I'll try to get some pics, but basically is a wall mock up, with sheeting on one side, open studs 16" OC on the other, a window about 4 ft from the bottom. The sheeting on the bottom can be removed and drywall put on to do wall breaches and go through the studs.
