Now for worst calls, I think this would take the cake (so to speak). You wouldn't want to wake up and see this thing sitting on your chest...would you?
What was your 'worst' call?
How do you cope with all of the bad things that you see?
How do you tell someone that their loved one didn't make it?
How can I fashion a question on an internet site that will score thousands of hits?
How can we turn up the drama on a slow news day?
Why doesn't something interesting happen in my life?
Why all the questions?
You know; I got a bunch of skeletons from calls in my closet, but the little guy in my head is in one of those moods and doesn't want to share.
Too bad, though. Some of the misery and tragedy is a real hoot...if you're into that sort of thing.
When you grow up, you will realize that professionals don't discuss the details of their calls in a public forum.
Do what some of the others do; make something up.
Toodles.
Mike:
Sometimes, I am too sarcastic even for my own good.
But, jeez; how many self-serving, self-promoting, self-congratulatory, self-ish frigging posts do we have to choke on?
There are many, many fire service issues worthy of discussion that are posted on this site every day. The contributors reads like a who's who and yet; they can't manage even ONE reply.
And call me anal, but I am about to pop a gasket over the ones that start out with..."OK, so I blah, blah blah.
We have to change the tenor of the discussions. The folks from Goofy Ridge are getting too big of a foothold.
Maybe we need a tea party.
TCSS.
