I love the job for numerous reeasons, the adrenaline rush, the bond with other brothers/sisters in the emergency service, training new members and watching them change into a more disaplined and knowledgable firefighters, and of course, putting the wet stuff on the red stuff!!!!

i'm gonna repeat some of the things already said. for starters if you get into a good dept. the bond between you and the others will be like nothing you've ever known in your life. second hearing the tones drop for something and never knowing what will be on the other end of that call. i've been dispatched for alarm activations and when we got on scene it was a working box. just meeting new people the training you get is like know other perfesion just. and my favorite reason the practical jokes. i've pulled my share and had my shared pulled on me.

I will save the mirroring of everyone elses comments (I agree with most if not all of them) but The thing I love the most about being a firefighter is to have the ability to be there and help people when they are at their worst. Thats the reason I train so hard on so many differant aspects of the service because I don't want the reason I can't help someone in need to be I didn't know what I was doing.
