New Truck
Couldn't help myself. Barn door was open and there was this pretty gal. Talking to the engineer and found out that Pierce no longer offers the all-wheel steering package. Too many oops I guess. SDFD has locked this out and another dept. put their engine on it's side while training.

Pierce will still give it to certain customers upon request (Palm Springs for instance). San Diego's is not run around town with it enabled, but it can be activated by the engineer if the conditions warrant.

That's what I had heard. If you are an existing customer and you sign away your life(waiver) then they will put all wheel steering in. I also heard that ECFD T-6 has been in at least 3 TCs because of this.

Not my toy. Neighboring city's. Saw it on standby yesterday. CHP had a jumper over the fwy. All lanes shut down and there's T11 on an empty fwy. Eerie looking.
