Holiday Runs

It seems every time my husband(LT) and I are going to a family gathering we hear are tones go off everytime were on our way or fixing to sit down to eat. How does your family members react? Just remember as a volunteer its 24/7 365. My hats off to our family members. What are some of your holiday experiences?

Last Christmas Eve I went on about 5-6 calls, but got about 8-9 points (when going on calls we get points for OTHER calls that are in progress during the call you're physically on).

On holidays I don't mind going on calls, I know that others need the help (usually). But important days (i.e. my birthday, daughters special days, ect.) I'll probably not go, or even keep my pager on me. I'm a volunteer so I like to ensure that I have days to myself, especially on the very important days. I consider it a vacation of some sort.
