At our weekly work detail last night, I had to help another firefighter figure out how to put in our SCBA's in the jump seats in the new rescue. I hadn't done it myself, but as I stepped out of the truck, I proclaimed "Yep, in 18 years and 6 truck purchases, this is by far my favorite"

It's a new rescue that replaced a worn and torn late 70's utility van.

What's your favorite apparatus?

I am a big fan of anything put out by Seagrave

Ok... so maybe this is not in my department but it's still my favorite "apparatus"... TCSS, CB
In all sincerity, here she is...

Seagrave Aerialscope
we just recently purchaced a sutphen sp75 platform truck...A/C, Cd player, cup holders (i know!) i love it!
I have two favorite trucks. The one company I run with my favorite truck is a 1986 Pierce arrow pumper. The other company I run with my favorite is the 1987 LTI/FMC 75' aerial ladder. It is the former quint 9 from Dallas/Fortworth Fire Department. Though when the new rescue gets here in about 16 days that may become my favorite.
1997 KME Engine 48

MY FAVORITE TRUCK IS OUR ATTACK TRUCK BUILT BY KME. IT IS A F-550 SUPER DUTY CHASSIS COMPLIMENTED WITH A 1000gpm PUMP. THE TRUCK ALSO HAS A 30 GAL. FOAM CELL BUILT INTO IT AND IT HAS THE FOAM PRO PROPORTIONER. WE CARRY 500 ' OF 4 INCH LDH, 1000' OF FORESTRY HOSE AND COUPLINGS AND NOZZLES. A SMALL FORESTRY PUMP IS ALSO CARRIED TO USE WHEN WE CAN FIND WATER IN THE WOODS IF WE NEED IT. tHE TRUCK ALSO CARRIES 2 SCBA PACKS WITYH 2 SPARE BOTTLES. WE ALSO CARRY EMS BAGS IN CASE OF INJURIES INCURRED WHILE DOING A WILDERNESS SEARCH. THIS TRUCK MAY BE SMALL IN SIZE, BUT ONCE THE TRUCK IS SET UP AT A WATER SOURCE, OR AS AN ATTACK, THIS BABY IS THE CATS ASS. i LOVE THIS TRUCK, MAINLY SINCE MYSELF AND ONE OF THE SMARTEST MEMBERS IN MY COMPANY BUILT THIS MASTERPIECE. OH YEAH, THIS TRUCK WAS BUILT TO REPLACE OUR 1971 DODGE POWER WAGON THAT CARRIED 300 GALLONS OF WATER AND IT HAD A HIGH PRESSURE BEAN PUMP. THIS TRUCK IS STILL BEING USED BY ANOTHER COMPANY. THANKS
