Just a quick question for some of you professionals. I'm a newly seperated father who is working a 2x4 schedule, my x says our daugter needs to be with her full time. She says its for consistancy, I have my daughter 3 days and her mom 3 days. It works for me but not for her mom.

Sincerly,

Afaid of loosing my little girl.

Been there done that my Brother. I'm happy to report that I was given custody of my son. That was 7 years ago. Don't let the legal B.S. get you down. Please keep us posted. Best of luck to you!
Hermano,

First off I'm sorry for your family problems. Second, no sane Judge would ever use your honorable profession's work schedule as a reason in making custody decisions. Be very reasonable when dealing with your ex and do what is in the best interest of your child to include sharing transportation to school, doctor visits, clothes shopping, etc... If "consistancy" only means living in one house with no disruption to attending school that's too bad and a just the nature of divorces. Stand up for your child's right to have both parents in her life as much as possible. Good luck my Brother.

PS Again be very reasonable and don't let legal bills break you down.
Do what's in the best interests of the daughter.
Otherwise; HER emotional scars will grow long after your's have healed.
TCSS.

Very well put Chief,
i agree with chief art on that one hermano
the way its handled today may well influence the relationship between you for a long time to come let her know of the love you have for her no matter what happens and whichever way the chips fall.
And above all else do not let her become a pawn in a bigger battle!! the emotional scaring from that burns deep and long
im afraid my friend there is no golden answer for these situations all i can say is have faith
all the best
paul
I forgot to add, never put down your ex in front of your child as it will only make you look bad to your child, since they're too young to understand what divorce is all about. Good luck.
You guys have been a great support, thank you for your replys. I wish I could tell you guys more but I would hate to have her use it against me. Well, I do have a good lawyer and your right what ever happens happens. I'm definatly not going down without a fight though.
We don"t know enough to judge the whole situation. I can only say this to you, you owe it to your daughter to fight to see her as much as possible. With as many things these kids are dealing with in their teens these days, they need a mom and dad in their lives. do what is best for her and you can never go wrong, best of luck to you!
