I was an Air Force firefighter from 1975 to 1995, I retired as a MSgt. My assignments were Ramstein AB Ger.75 - 77, Goodfellow AFB TX 77 - 78, Hahn AB Ger. 78 - 81, Mac Dill AFB FL 81 - 82, RAF Greenham Common UK 82 - 85, Sheppard AFB TX 85 - 87, Galena Airport AK 87 - 88, Homestead AFB FL 88 - 90, RAF Bentwaters / RAF Woodbridge UK 90 - 93, Charleston AFB SC 93 - 95.

i was ststaioned at Wurtsmith AFB MI from 84-88 from there I went to Yongstown AFB from 89-06 and Now Niagara Falls 06- Present. I have had teh time of my life

Are you in the Guard there. I'm trying to get back in at Stratton (Schenectady, NY), but they aren't allowing anymore over 100%. It's a waiting game.

I just found out that I was accepted because there was one or two leaving within the next year and they were only one person over 100%. I will probably be re-enlisting within the next week. Thanks for the heads-up though, I had already looked into Newbourgh and Rome, but everybody was full.

After graduating from Chanute AFB Fire School in Jan. 87, I was at Eaker (formerly Blytheville) AFB in Blytheville AR. (SAC) from Jan 87 till Feb. 1991. It wasn't the most exciting AFB in the world, but it was a great experience. I'll never regret my USAF Fire Protection days!

K.I. Sawyer 89-91 after Chanute, then Kunsan 91, Lackland 91-94, Luke 94-96. Did a short stint in Kuwait in 95. Separated from USAF in 96 & have been a career FF since.
