Here's a couple of good ones that I've heard around the station: "To look good, you gotta be good."
Here's one from our training chief: "Train for the worst and hope for the best."
Another quote and I believe it is from a movie but it is very true: "It takes a special person (or a crazy one) to run into a burning building when everyone else is running out." I don't know how many of you have seen the cartoon where there is a picture of a fireman in full turn out and the question is asked
