this ones not exactly a quote but still worth reading: (defines our job well)
I sit around all day waiting for the call to come In, then I go speeding to the office get into 45 pounds of gear get into my company vehicle go speeding down the road thru stop signs and red lights roll up on the job site run into a 1200 degree house while everyone else runs out searching for anyone left in the house then drag 60 pounds of hose lines thru the house spraying water everywhere ruining everything ripping walls and ceilings apart all while fire is rolling over my head and all around me while it’s trying to trap me then we pick up go back to the office and then home waiting for the alarm to come in again. Oh by the way I’m on duty 24/7 365 and I volunteer for this what do u do?
