We were sitting around the firehouse table the other day talking to a couple of rookies and the subect came up (as it always does) of what tools do you carry with you in your turnout gear an how do you carry them...
So, In my right bunker pants pocket I carry 20' of 1" tube webbing and a carabiner. In the left side is a back-up flashlight and IV set up pack.
In my right jacket pocket in a old "hose pouch" I have channel locks, screwdriver, punch and knife.
In the left side I have Door chocks, nails, shove knifes, 8' section of webbing...
WELL BROTHER EVEN BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I WAS ABLE TO PLAY, I CARRIED STRUCTURE GLOVES, LATEX GLOVES, NOMAX, TWO (2) FOLDABLE SPANNER WRENCHES, POCKET KNIFE, 8' LONG PIECE OF ROPE AND RADIO...
a door wedge in my helmet along with a pelican light attatched to the rubber band. My interior gloves are in my two jacket pockets... my right bunker pant pocket is two nomexes and exercation gloves in the left pocket is 50ft of bale of rope in a bag.

Radio Pocket-uuhhh, humm, oh yeah! Kenwood hand held radio.
Inside Coat Pocket-latex gloves, glasses case with glasses that go inside scba mask.

Right Pants Pocket-Another Right structure fire glove, nomex hood.
Left Pants Pocket-Another Left structure fire glove, Leatherman tool.
Helmet-My head LOL, Borke eye shield.
