I am trying to have the Highway Traffic Act changed in the Province of Nova Scotia Canada. I am looking to have them change it so that Volunteer Firefighters can use a Green Light when responding in their Pov. What I am looking for is Fire Chiefs that have Lights in their Department to let me e-mail them a paper with 12 questions for them to answer. The questions are about miss use, Dept policy for miss use, if they run a course be the Firefighter can use the light, etc....
This information could help me out with getting the Lights for our Volunteers...
Please e-mail me and let me know if you would fill one out for me. Anyone from the States or Cananda.
y a green light. I am from New Jersey, I am the chief of green creek fire co. r members have blue lights. and I have a red light on my pov. we have no problems with lights. they need a permit from the state of nj it's good for 3 years.
Hay guys I am looking for anything that can help me in trying to have our Province of Nova Scotia Canada ley us use the Lights. If you have Training, sop/sog's copies of permits that are needed etc.
my department doesn't run lights on POV's but 1 comment; green light is used for command post here and I believe that is the NIMS std. May not be an issue in Canada but thought I would point it out
It is used by the command post here in Nova Scotia as Well as Ontario and in Ontario they use a Green Lights. From talking to the Gov., Volunteer Fireifhgters and the Fire Marshal of Ontario they say it is not a problem because when they respond and are on scene the Firefighters turn the Lights off. The Command Post doesn't respond with the Green Light on it only has the Light Flashing when it is on scene.
