WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- A man was killed and three people, including two firefighters, were injured in a blaze that destroyed three homes in Wilmington.
Wilmington Fire Company spokesman Capt. Christopher Murtha says the fire was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday in a row house on East 22nd Street. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the first and second floors of one home.
The blaze spread to adjacent homes.
Two firefighters were taken to Wilmington Hospital for treatment of injuries. A child getting off a school bus was affected by smoke and taken to another hospital.
