Okay fellow aussie vollie fire fighters while we dont have the luxury of personal lights and sirens on our own vehicles like our American colleagues do there are some of us who play favourite songs on repeat with the cd player going full bore when responding to the fire shed for a call out

Sadly im guilty of doing this :-P although during the day time it alerts people to the fact im responding to the fire shed for a call out but the music also helps me focus on that task/incident at hand

I find that aussie country music by Lee Kernaghan is real good response music especially his popular songs including Boys From The Bush,Outback Club,The New Bush but it really pends on what cd i grab first

What music does everyone else play when responding to the shed or station for a call out

I'm usually too busy trying to get to the shed to even turn on the sound box! Plus I'd be lucky to get through one song. How far away do you live from your shed?
I live about 3 1/2-4 minutes away from the station but always have a cd in the cd player ready to play once i start the car up
Seriously, I think it better to not try and rev ourselves up on the way to a call. I like to take control of the adrenaline, not the other way around. Too many of us arrive in the carpark sideways...
I usually just listen to the radio..... I dont rev myself up as you get enough adrenaline at the fire - and plus your usually there for a while...
