Beef Pot Roast like grandma made! Had that one a couple times the past 2 weeks. Have not seen a chilli cook off in like 5 years in my area. Might have to get that one going. I know we probably will have to get a new impartial judge since the cop about had heart attack from the "hot" chilli at my house last time. He loved it, but he was litterally hoarse after eating one bowl.
We have a bit of a gourmet in our firehouse. last carwash we had crab legs over Linguini. The one before that was roast pheasant!
hey i cant argue over crab legs
Chicken or prawn alfredo penne pasta with jalepeno foccacia bread. The guys enjoy it and it is really easy to make.
wow that sounds good do u cater lol
Most paid department's will argue they have the best cook on their shift....

Tonight my on-duty chef made chicken marsala w/prossiutti mushrooms smothered in a wine sauce over rice and steamed carrots.

I actually can't wait to go to work... it is like going to four star restaurant!

Chili cookoff's are old school...
For me any soups or stews would be great, easy to re heat if needed
The best meals are the free meals! Actually how does it work out that dinner is usually $3.00
Steaks, or Bambi stews are the best.
Hey Brittany, my department has a few meals each year, beef and noodles, chili supers, and spaghetti dinners. On some occations we may have a pancake breakfast. I don't recall any chilli cook offs, if you hear of any please let me know.
well i kno phoenix just had there 2nd annual this past sat i actually missed
last meal we had at our station was steak... with all the trimmings.. and we cooked them to order for each person right there in the station.. we have a chicken BBQ comming up in july.. so if your hungry, come to Delaware twp in defaince county ohio, just outside of defiance on the west side.. we cook plenty to go around...
my fire mentor cooked me a thick steak, so juicy... nice salad and a can of coke to go with it =)

he likes to challange us and ask imposibly hard questions that explorers would NEVER know, but i knew one... oh yes i did
