I have a power point i made on ventilation, IF itis cool with ben we can do it next month. we done it before but only like 3 people were there. it covers vertical, mechanical, hydralic, and natural. we can do some interier fire fighting and sar stuff on a saturdy when we have more time. keep the ideas comming, i am working on a traing on fire behavior too. When it warms up a little we will get outside and do some ladders, fire streams, barrels, and get and extracation class goning.
The barrels are good...as well as an extricaiton class...I wonder if there is anyway we can simulate ventilation with out burning a house down?
The blacked out thing is pretty cool....all you have to do is put your nomex on backwards. You would have an air pack on but you won't be hooked up (just breath through the mask) and we can either rescue a dummy, pike pole, another person playacting whatever. Also wonder if the air packs at cunningham have the RIT connection...if they do could have someone hook up the RIT in the same situation (Like we did with Lt. Dan in the burn building).
we can use your house
My house is available for the right price, wait , let me check on my insurance. HaHa.
Heck yeah we can use my house....just let me get some more of my crap moved out...and remember that it has to be burned...To the ground....so maybe show everybody the wrong way to use positive pressure ventilation.
Your crazy, Matt.
I think we can demonstrate incorrect positive pressure ventilation very easily. Doing it the right way is the difficult part. Be careful out there.
As far as the air packs they do have a "RIT" connection (trans fill air line) they are a little diffrent but i think they are better because every air pack has a line that will connect to any other one the air packs.
Don't know if anyone has ever tried it (probably has but) I said something to Butts and Ellis about us using the burn building for a little training. We would have to clear it through Albright but hey would be a good chance for some of the newer guys.

Both of them said they would be glad to come out one saturday and give us a hand.
I think wade talked to them about it. I think they said they needed to be FF1 certified before they could use it. But we can always ask again.
Hey Butch I would be interested in that no doubt, but uhh what how do you get FF1 certified?
