So long as the program is well organized and the "kids" are not just out there running around like a bunch of idiots, sure. It is a great recruitment tool and give some kids other options to the usual sitting on their can playing Wii all day every day.

yes cause thanks to my dept having a explorer prgram im now a certifide fire fighter the explorer program taught me a lot an because of it im a certifide fire fighter

I think that Fire Departments should have r firefighters because it gives kids in the community something todo to stay out of trouble and it teaches them life skills that they can not learn being on the streets the are the future firefights long after you and i are gone so if they have the proper training them yes fire depatments should have jr fire fighters
