Hello all, my name is Mike Brown. I do a website for a volunteer Fire and EMS Company. The link is http://www.blueridgefireandresuce.com. I am asking you guys to let me know what you think. Any suggestions, or comments are welcomed. This is the first Fire/EMS Website that I have done.
The site looks great. You should try to get an image on the main page as an attention getter. I know some people tend to get turned off by all words on a site. Your picture should make a statement, whether its an action shot, a shot of the station, the crew, etc. BUT like I said I think you did a killer job
Pretty cool, here's an idea to incorporate into your page: a virtual tour of your fire apparatus and station. My station's website does that, and many people enjoy it.
What type of pictures and where would you put them on the main page? I am asking you guys this because you gave me the idea so I would like to see what else you guys would recommend. I have e-mailed the administrator officer at the station and awaiting his thoughts about these ideas.
This isnt my website, but heres a sampling of a webpage that I think is very catchy. More color contraqst, plus the photos draw you deeper into our lives. Training photos, call photos, station/apparatus photos, photos of your crew etc. Good luck hope this helps.
