Should All FD have the same color turnouts? What color do you prefer?

Hey Y'all
Should all FD have the same color turnouts? If so, what color?
Also, what color turnouts do you prefer?
What do you think works better; black, yellow, silver, orange...ect?

No , I like black turn out gear but I wear Tan with orange/silver trim. Tan is the original color of the material so it will keep its color better than other gear such as red and black that is dyed that color so departments that are financially strained Tan is a good choice.
No...why should we...?? Next thing some idiot will want us all wearing the same brand undershorts...unless of course you go "commando"...Stay safe...Keep the Faith......Paul

J Brooks, under a well run scene with proper ICS principles, etc, there's no need to know who is who, from where, etc.

You have a job to do- simple.

Just like many of you guys, we (Australians) can be stuck in our ways- we don't know any different other than to have consistent uniforms throughout our services. The photo above, to me, looks crazy with 4 different colours! Why is it necessary? It's not!
By state
nationally might b difficult
I feel good old black turnouts are way to go but i do have to say we are in tans now and they are slightly cooler in the sun ..but i think the bigger question is besides myself how many are seeing and feeling the newer gear lets us get a lot closer before we feel we shouldn't be that close?..
I have worn every one except silver, I prefer tan and its the departments choice, all I care is that it protects the firefighters
All turnout gear, like all fire apparatus, should be pink. Visually shocking, hot pink.
This shade of pink...

Why, you ask?

Because...it would be standard, it would be unique, and it would make us less prone to testosterone poisoning while wearing it.

It would stop the endless black-vs-tan-vs-yellow-vs-red-vs-whatever discussion, anyway. :-)
Why does it matter? We are beating a dead horse here anyway.
living on a island in humid South Carolina, black is way to hot in the summer. We wear tan with yellow stripes. Saying that, I think black looks the best.
I agree with Mr. Flanders. I do like the idea that there should be a standard with helmet color. It would be very easy for mutual aid ops.
I suppose what ever your dept chooses, as long as it keeps us safe, is the best....
