Ribbons and awards

Folks,

Please see the attachment. My boss wife's father was a firefighter some years back. He is no longer here and going through his stuff they found these ribbons. They asked if I knew what they meant and I could not find anything on the net. CAN ANYONE HELP???

Do you have any information on the department he belonged to? With a department name It will be easier to piece together whats needed to provide you answers.

he was working in El Monte California around the 60-70 time frame.

I looked on the net and I believe there are five departments that cover that area.

Do they have anything on which department he served in?

My thinking is it maybe something that department designed. You may want to try talking to someone in that department. They could probably tell you a whole lot more. Good luck...

Everything I am researching is related to LA County FD. I went through a bunch of their archived collections for their museum and didn't get a hit. Maybe you should contact them and see if these could benefit their museum collection some. It would provide answers

I believe those are military awards not FD.......the E is given to Navy ships for excellence I think. I googled military awards and couldn't find them but they could be older?
