We finished up with 14,651. Some days i felt like I took every one!, LOL. Just curious to see what kind of numbers everybody got last year. We were up about 150-200 from last year.
Well our volunteer dept ran 853 calls that is up from 708 in 07 and so far in 09 we have ran 41 calls and i believe that in 08 i ran about 300 calls and in 07 i ran just over 300 calls my self and all of that includes fire and medical calls
We finnished up with about 5,500 calls last year with 10 vol. what helped is that we have a full house so we can pull the Ambulance, Medic, Engine, Rescue, Tower Ladder, Attack (Brush), and Utility.
33.081 out of which I believe 4000 or so were fires, about 500 haz Mat or "fire menace standby", about 1400 "public service assist" and the rest EMS based.
"so we can pull the Ambulance, Medic, Engine, Rescue, Tower Ladder, Attack (Brush), and Utility" - does this mean that in your system if you roll all seven vehicles to the one house fire (for instance) you record it as seven 'calls'?
I'm not saying that's wrong, but if so then it does skew the figures when compared to those who simply count the number of incidents they are required to attend. Of course this isn't a competition, I just look out of curiosity.

Last year we ran a total of 10,004 runs. Of those runs, 2085 were fire runs and 7919 were EMS runs. We have 4 stations, 5 ambulances, 6 engines, 1 heavy rescue, 1 Squrt, 1 100' tiller ladder and 2 field pieces.
Well My full time job, Columbus, Ohio Division of Fire, we puleed down aprox. 150,000 runs Fire, Ems, ResQ. Thats 34 stations. My Part time job at a rural Dept. had around 450. Fire, EMS, ResQ. 1 station.
my volunteer department ran 347 for 2008, that is all around calls, EMS, Fire, and Rescue.. We cover 82 square miles a population of about 6000 or so...we have an off road park that keeps us pretty busy....
