I know many of us full-time firefighters have second jobs on our days off. I work as an ambulance dispatcher on the side right now, but two jobs in emergency services is sometimes too much, so I was just wondering what everyone else does for side jobs. Thought I might be able to get some ideas for a new part-time job from everyone else.
I was thinking maybe more on the line of a perm !!!!!! LOL ..Wildtree is all natural foods that are actually delicious. Very healthy for you. Our most popular item is grape seed oil which is cholesterol free and most of our products are salt free and absolutely no MSG or dyes.
I'm a volunteer...I don't really have a full time job per se, I'm a full-time student at a local community college. I also attend a class the Alabama Fire College is putting on in my county (going for my First Responder, VFF Cert, HazMat and then to Tuscaloosa AL for my FF1). But those jobs don't pay the bills..they actually create more bills haha, so when I'm not studying my ass off I work on our family's as well as my neighbors farm when I can.
well me personally- i found the slowest 911 service... that serves me really well. but i know a few guys that run thier own businesses- like lawnscaping businesses- a few run thier own private ambulances (i don't recommend that if you want less headaches....)one has a welding business, just stuff like that. i don't know any that work at wally world or things of that nature- although i have considerd doing loss prevention for walmart again since it was fun... i have also worked as ems for concerts and what not. just have fun- that's the biggest key, to me. don't get something that will overwhelm you...like a second 911 job at a busy service. there's a reason it's second. Love and stuff- Leigh
New York State Fire Instructor for Tioga County, NY. I also teach at the NYS Fire Academy during the Recruit Firefighter Training Program and am getting back into being a Certified lab Instructor for NYS EMT classes.
Graphic Artist. I work with an Italian cycling clothing company. Pretty fun, I get to sit on my butt and make money, vs going out in 100f and mowing a lawn. cant beat the hourly pay either...lol.

My full time job is a service manager for a Kitchen exhaust cleaning company and work part time at the fire house on my days off. If you are looking to get a second job this kitchen exhaust than is a good then to do alot of company's out there could use some one from the fire sevice. And it would help the fire sevice if more firefighter's would see some of the restaurant's in there area like I do you would shit . Look at what the city of Boston did from two firefighter's that was killed in August 07. If you would like more info let me know
