We are going to do a quarter auction which brings in quite a bit of money. we are also going to do a scratch off card which seams very simple again raises alot of money. these 2 are ones we never tried before
Our department has been doing Pancake and Sausage Day for several years. We have just started the past couple of years of doing fundraiser with McDonald's resturant. During these fundraisers we have our equipment on display to help educate the public on the equipment that we use everyday.

One of my companies biggest fundraisers is our annual chicken barbecue. We do it every year on fathers day for as long as I can remember and we always ahve a great turnout. We set up the hall for dining inside as well as out in the engingine room. Our firemen all take shifts as waiters and serve inside and outside and we also ahve a line set up for people to have take out.
Our department runs some good fund-raisers and some that seem to be going out dated. We do few boot-coin drops which seems to do pretty good, one on mem. day weekend and one on labor day weekend and this year we did one on Columbus day weekend, usually bring in about 1500 to 2000 on the first day but it drops off by the second and third day. We also do a mailing which is our biggest boost, couple drive that seem to be failing like our annul picnic on the fourth of July weekend, turkey raffle in Nov, and roast beef dinner, couple time a year, a spaghetti dinner, breakfast with Santa, and during our local fair we provide fire/rescue for some of the events but it min. amount we get from the fair. And theirs filling a few pools in the late spring. We lost our bingo crowd so we stopped it last year, and our social hall sits most of the time except for a group that uses it during the week, but pays just for the heating and cooling of it that we prob. would have if they weren't there. so we aren't making anything there. I have mentioned a open house at the station but it was received with mix feelings. One thing I did for the cub scouts is I found a place that does fund raisers selling wreathes . In the first year they were able to purchase a new metal pine wood derby track. Well here's a few ideas please let me know if you have any ones..

I also did some credit card sign up fundraiser one year for an organization through I believe Citi Bank. It was easy going to the mall and college campuses to get people to sign up for these credit cards then they can cancel them and they got a free tshirt for signing up, too. We made over $2,000 in 4 hours.
