Station 1 of the Telluride Fire Protection District (TFPD) we have three stations in the district. Station 1 is the Town of Telluride, CO; Station 2 is the Town of Mountain Village; and Station 3 is the Placerville Volunteer Fire Department. Station 1 and 2 are comprised of 6 battalions (3 per station) each battalion has 7 firefighters (1captain, 1 lt., 5 black helmets) for a total of 42. Station 3 has 4 battalions and is primary for wildland intervention. Because of this we have to explain what a fire hydrant is and how to use it periodicly.
