what do you think of the fire service?

I'm writing this because one of my dear firefighter's brother is going threw the firefighting service and he was told "Scratch out what everybody told you about firefighting". I got told firefighting is being remade . They said there is new ways to respond and how to do your job, i think they are just putting a new twist on the old way what do you think?

Well I have not heard that before, maybe their talking about old vs new school and by new school, I mean being safer and more aware of fire than they were in the old days, but I'm very pleased with the fire service so far.
