Is anybody going to FDIC in Indianapolis April 20-25, 2009
Its still a little ways away but you better reserve rooms now! or you'll have to stay on the out skirts of the city. Princeline.com or do some checking around cause you can get it cheaper than what they advertise it for.. rooms are already almost gone so hurry up.
Does anybody have any good FDIC stories? I know I've always had a blast down there and I've only missed it a few times over 9 years but I know I'm going so I hope to see you guys there!

Hell yea I only live an hour away--South On I-65 be stupid not to go should be good with the first year being in the new Lucas Oil Stadium--have a good one.

Yeah I'm excited to see what it looks like, I have seen the layout online but its going to be weird not being in the RCA dome! But I know I'm going I hope I can pick a personal or vacation day for then so I don't have to do trade time!!!

I look at it like big kids in a really big toy store, I wish we would have made reservations last year but didn't if it comes down to it I know I've got places to stay I just like to have my own room with my wife but if it don't happen them I'm not to concerned..

We actually stay right outside of town about a 10 minute drive, its our first time making reservations a year in advance. I believe im saving a bunch of money this year and buying me a few things I want.

Yea you do save a bunch of money thats for sure, but you can also do priceline usually and negotiate and save a bunch of money thats usually what I have been doing lately. But I hope to see you down there!

I will be there - wish it was only a 1 hour journey like some of you instead of three days and 12,210 miles though!
Have been before and it is worth the travel pain - great fun!

Yeah my 3 hour trip doesn't sound bad at all now that I hear that lol, but let me know when you are going to be there so we can meet up, its always nice to see people come from other country's come to something like this! Is your dept. paying for any of this for you or do you have to foot the bill ?

It looks like I'm landing in Indy at about 1700 on the Saturday (via Perth, Tokyo and Chicago) so I'll be taking it pretty easy that night, and then on Sunday I'll relax walking around downtown and maybe catch up with a couple of guys from Indianapolis F.D. and the guys from Wayne Township F.D., and I will probably head up to NYC on the Sunday after FDIC closes. Not sure who else is coming over from Australia this time. There should be plenty of time to catch up one evening during the week. Hey Dave - which night is the FFN party? :-)
Oh and please don't buy us a Fosters - that's the shit we export because we won't drink it!

That is one heck of a trip, are you driving down to indy or are you flying the rest of the way from Chicago? If you stay up in Chicago one of my buddy's works downtown and I can give you directions if you want to stop in some of the firehouses over there. I have to find out when he is heading down to FDIC. That cracks up me about the fosters. I am going to be heading down for the show either on thursday or friday so I'm sure I'll see you down there, if you want to trade shirts let me know what size you are and I'll get you one from my job, I also have some patches if you want some to. Let me know, but we will keep in contact and talk again soon. Take it easy and be safe!
