A few companies in my area have heavy rescue pumpers, or a 'Squad' as it's known in some parts of the country. I run with one company that has a Squad truck.

What do you consider "near"? If you're ever up in Maine,you're more than welcome to come see our "swiss army knife".By then the new Tower will be in too. Rig's got all our Rescue gear,plus structural,1250 water and A/B foam.Always a crew around Sunday,call first any other time.

We have a I guess what you would call a heavy rescue pumper mounted on a comercial cab and chassis it is a 1999 FL 70 with a cummins 330hp engine it has a 1000 gallon tank 1250gpm pump with a top mount pump, with roll up compartments and an extended front bumper with 200ft of 1.75 as well as class a an b foam system an on board generator to run our scene lights also our electric lines and we also haul a simo pump cutters spreaders air bags RIT kit and all sorts of irons as well with enough fire equipment to be a "First In" engine. I do definately recomend roll up doors we love our rig. to sum it up be ready to order 2 trucks basically at the same time.

Hey gang here are some pics of our Heavy Duty Rescue Engines we have two of these trucks in our fleet. They are essentially A Rescue Squad with a 1000 gallon tank and pump housing. We have been running these trucks since 2004 and we will continue to run this type of truck for some time. We average around 4 to 5 runs a day so it is nice to have almost everything with you regardless of the call. I have additional specs if you need them. Each truck is valued around 500K. Not cheap but it is cheaper than buying an Engine and a smaller squad which we had gotten away from. Our District has everything from rural/ major highways, to large area of homes,businesses so the trucks work very well for most calls.
