Like Meaghan said check with your local department. The department that I am on also has a dive team and we are not required to be a part of it if we do not want to. I am with you on the whole no water thing if i cant see the bottom i am not getting in. and there are other things you can do for the dive team. I do not dive but I am a tender and hold the rope that the diver is connected to. I also drive the dive truck and boat for them.
Ok...I can swim. I love to swim. But I wouldnt be able to dive...Thankyou!
Yea, I dont mind what I do, but I would not be able to dive. But I'll help in any other way I can...Thankyou
I hope it's not a problem with confined spaces? There is not a huge, great difference between scUba and scba! What exactly is the problem with diving?
Hi I am a Dive Lt with our Department....We only have certified Divers that volunteer to be on the team on our underwater team But we do have Line tenders and boat operators...We also have rescue divers and rescue swimmers....Don't rule it out...you may find that you really enjoy diving...it opens up a whole new world under water...and No, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to learn how.....hey, if I did it anyone can.....Stay safe and remember to keep the faith.........Paul
Thankyou! Yea, I could do rescue swimming...idk We'll see....I appreciate it and you stay safe too
