Just an update on the JUNK TNT tools. The two sets that we purchased will not WORK, One unit will shut down and you cannot get it restarted, and the second unit will not work two tools at the same time. REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!! When the salesman says " Aren't These Tools Cool" DO NOT BUT THEM. The NEW CUTTERS are leaking hydralic fluid, SPREADERS will not open all of the way, and when you use both tools the power unit bogs down or will quite running all together. Now the company will not back the tools or the power units and cannot figure out why the power units will not run. AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM TNT. STAY FAR FAR AWAY
Hey little gary have you discussed your problems with the rep? It sounds like you got a lemon and need to have them make it right. Wich they will! Tnt has been great to us. We have a problem and they come running. Don't just complain about them! And yes tnt goes through nader pins like a hot knife through butter. I have had the worst experience with power hawk. What a joke! twice they sent brand new tools to us and twice they flopped! I wouldn't recommed them to my worst enemy. That being said I hope that they have improved their product to remedy the problems the earlier tools had. One thing is for sure high pressure 10,500 psi is the way to go.
Yes Dan we have notified TNT and there rep. And believe it or not THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEIR OWN JUNK!!!!!!! LIKE I SAID BEFORE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND OF TOOLS, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK.

Amkus, its all we've ever had and we dont train with newer things kinda wish we would, just to see whats out there, maybe something better, dont know tell you try.
Hurst has had Simo pumps - two tools off of one pump - for over 10 years. Hurst also had the first pedal cutter on the market - it was essentially a Rabbit Tool with a pedal cutter head. I had a Hurst twin-line pump on my rescue in 1998.
If the Hurst salesman didn't show you those, he wasn't very good at his job.
Are you talking about new Hurst Centaur tools or 30-year old stuff? I've found the Centaur series to be comparable to anyone else's tools for weight and they'll outperform most.
Hi All: Again I ill have to say that TNT is not the tool choice at ALL. So far they have replaced both power units 3 times, also spreaders, cutters and combi tool all of them have been replace either 2 or 3 times depending on the engine!!!!!! Again isn't this a COOL TOOL!!!! Now the power unit is using hydralic oil. And get this the service person was down to check it and he stated that he would not do it because it wasn't taken off the engine so he could check it????? But he checked all of the tools painted them so they look good and then CHARGED US for the service!!
We used these tools for training and the performance is still slow and NO POWER. They just do not operate like they promised!!!! When the salesman doesn't know what is going on with the tools do you think that the service man does???????? REMEMBER EVERYBODY THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!! ALSO READ THE FINE PRINT ON THE SERVICE AND TOOLS LIFETIME WARRANTY?????
We have Hurst extrication equipment on my department, I havnt really found a thing that I dont like about it. It's quick, has alot of power, its easy to control, not too heavy. Really nice stuff
