October 26, 2009. Smoke from a distance and extra manpower to the scene were one of the first reports after being toned out for a structure fire on Boston Road around 1pm on Oct 26. Upon arrival, a carport was fully involved extending into the unoccupied house. Flames tore through the roof and pretty much gutted the home.

It took about an hour to get the flames under control.

I was an emt on scene for this fire. this fire destroyed everything this family had. luckily noone was hurt except one firefighter who was not wearing his helmet and when he went to pull ldh off the truck to hook up to hydrent the coupling hit him in the head sending him to the ER instead of the fire he never even made it onto the scene. lesson learned boys. The family of 4mo female twins and a female toddler needs everything the father has been deployed with the ATF. let me know if your interested in helping this family out.
