I've watched the video twice i didn't see the booster line. I saw hoses out of the cross lay that looked like they were coming off the booster reel.

booster line on a structure sounds like another location I know who lost some brothers unfortunately

Yeah, the key is to watch...and learn.

I'm still amazed at some of the things people post, especially on YouTube, that are just horrific examples of ridiculously poor safety practices.

Unfortunately EngineCo, in so many ways we haven't evolved in so many ways either! This site and youtube and others are still loaded with really poor techniques and practices....

this is disgusting. Glad we have evolved a bit since then. Booster lines on a house fire, booster lines on a roof. Roof ladders with firefighters operating with the fire through the roof already. (aka vented) Disgusting.

This is why I never took a saw to a pitched roof. It was always axes only on pitched roofs.
