Two things...I hope there was at least one person with brass on his collar on that truck. Come next shift, he'd be on the carpet in front of my desk!! After our meeting, he'd be taking his crew to the training center for remedial!!

Ok 1st I would like to quote the late Andrew Fredericks... "If you put the fire out you won't have to jump out the window". With that in mind why was the handle line stretched LAST?! This is a subject stuck in a vehicle that is burning common sense would tell you to put the fire out. And what is up with the booster line?! Tunnel vision seems to be the main issue here. Don’t forget your training... like wearing an SCBA, Stretching the appropriate handle line, and don't let others give you tunnel vision!! All that said GREAT SAVE and it doesn’t look like anyone got hurt so let’s learn from this and do better next time!!

Where were the packs and why was the truck parked so close to the car? There was hardly enough room to walk between the truck and the car

If they had the back door open already, why did the officer feel the need to break out the back window? And I agree with the comments about the SCBA's. With all of the chemical sucides taking place inside vehicles these days, SCBA's should be required until it's determined they are not needed.
