1. No Helmet (Possible restriction)
2. No SCBA. Fire is still going good. (Smoke inhalation doesnt do any one good at a fire scene)
3. No Safety Harness (Again Possible restriction to getting the job done)

FYI I am not critisizing. I am only pointing out the unsafe spots in this video. She did her job and she did it well.

k guys as you can clearly she had her helmet on her head....so did she take it off "cause it was too restricting"? and i'm with Dave here.......where's her B.A.? and what happens when she takes that one swing the wrong way and has either one of her feet slip...she got no where to go but down...and not only do you have a structure fire to deal with, now you'll have an injured fire fighter to deal with......Saftey Officer definately slipped up on this one

FireFighter 13-51 it's this kind of view point that gets Firefighters injured or worse killed in the line of duty. Safety proceedures are put in place for a reason-to keep you and I safe on the job

Not being critical here, just an observation. The fire is not out, if her helmet did fall off, why didn't she either go and get it or have someone fetch it for her? Where is her breathing apparatus? she is taking in lung fulls of smoke, who knows what toxins she's breathing in, and where is her fall and arrest harness to prevent her falling off the top off the ladder or roof? Didn't the safety officer pick up on this? These are basic things even probies are taught. wew need to remember to make ourselves safe first other-wise it could well result in our buddies having to rescue one of us that was in too much of a hurry to risk assess the situation. Keep safe people

Why would they cut a vent hole when the fire has self vented on the other side of the roof??

Excellent motivational video, but with no helmet and no pack, it kind of shoots anything else they were trying to show out of the water.

Only thing I have to say about this is that a guy couldn't do the same thing with out coming down the ladder singing soprano.

must be hard being perfect. how do we know her helmet didnt fall off while she was venting the roof. and im sure every hole you have ever cut was the perfect size and was done the right way. PLEASE! give it a rest. part of the problem with this site everybody out there has all the answers and their way is the only way. what a joke, get a life.
