EastOregonian - On Nov. 24th, a fire broke out at 22 S.E. 9th Dr., in Pendleton. The house belonged to Bill Fenton, who was renting it to Travis Walker and Tyler Hall. The fire started when the two renters lit a fire in their woodstove and left the house unattended. While some structure remained, the fire gutted the attack and left the house in ruin.

Two 24 hours departments. We have great firefighters/Paramedics!! Gregory Borg, referring to your comment before...this guy actually happens to be a very good, very knowledgable and respected firefighter as all of our firefighters/Paramedics are. This video was taken by our local newspaper guy....and the whole video is obviously not shown.

Jordan, Is Pendleton a combination dept., I mean part paid and part volunteer? How many stations do they have and how many paid guys on duty?

Exactly you don't get the whole picture. Welcome to eastrn oregon where we don't have 50 people respond to a fire, try maybe 10 or 12.

Well, the trouble with videos is that we don't have the whole picture. Those are good questions Greg, but I would need to know more before judgement. The issues you mention may have taken place or they may not have. The worth it point needs more info.

After further review, I am questioning commands orders a bit. 1 firefighter no hose line at the ready. Where was his backup?Looks like the fire has self vented in a couple spots. Weigh the risk versus rewards. (NOT WORTH IT)

With the amount of fire showing through the roof, venting was pretty risky. Good thing he had on all his PPE. It saved him from serious burns

I understand why he cut the Gable, but why didnt he use a tool to open the cut area? A four foot pike would've kept him clear of ensuing fire
