Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I've always wanted to be a firefighter. I practically grew up in my firehouse. My dad has been a bartender at my firehouse since before i was born, so i spent a lot of time there, especially in the truck room.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
There isnt any one thing i can pinpoint as to being the "best" part of firefighting. It's something that i've always wanted to do. I love learning and going to classes and seminars as much as i can. I love the bond and comradery you get with your fellow firefighters. I also love the respect you earn with your peers in the fire service, as well as the respect and admiration you recieve from the public. The ability to be able to do whatever it takes to try and help someone in their worst time is also very special.
