From You Tube, An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and a paramedic were caught on tape scuffling Sunday while a patient was being taken to the hospital.

The fight happened on Highway 62, near Paden, after a OHP and first responders argued over a close call on the road.

OHP alleges that one of the paramedics on the video assaulted the trooper, but the assault was not caught on tape.

"We're like trying to tell the guy, Dude, my mom is in the back,' and my stepdad was like, My wife is in the back. Can we do this at the hospital?'" said Kenyada Davis.

I am a firefighter in Oklahoma, and this type of thing happens alot. Several times Highway Patrol has tried to arrest us or our neighboring departments for shutting down highways or lanes for a fire/rescue. We had a grass fire jump I-44 a month back, and they got into a brawl with one of the fire fighters because he wanted the highway opened even when it was covered in smoke and the fire was on both sides.

Following the story at the bottom of the linked page:

"The entire scene, including the alleged assault was captured on dash cam video and has not been released.

The Okfuskee County District Attorney's office is reviewing all of the footage and could file criminal charges against the paramedic by the end of the week."

More context? I feel issues like these could be resolved on the ramp at the hospital after they transported, given there was no apparent threat to health or safety. Nobody wins like this.

looks like some state troppers need to be looking for some new jobs to pay the law suits there about to be hit with . maybe mcdonald 's or pizza delivery would be better suiting for them .they cant do the state tropper job right that was wrong on so many points

Why did the PM'S pull over anyway? If they where enroute to the hospital.

Not knowing the law, but this seems like it would open the door for a lawsuit if the patient was critical, but your right Dottie im sure it was a misunderstanding because there toward the end it seems like the situation was being disolved, and three (3) officers, Wow...And im pretty sure this guy is the same guy that can sing like all get out...I thank he has some stuff posted on here called the singing EMT...

Ya this needs to be talked over and hashed out. Not the time nor the place, for sure if they were running code with a patient...

some body needs a hug those Oklahoma highway patrolman are acting like skin head jerks what makes them think that there situation was more life threatening then a patient. I wonder if they thought about who would come to there rescue if they piled there car or had a gun shot wound. The higher authorities for both agencies better sit down and hash it out before it festers in to something worse
