Kosciusko (MS) House Fire

WLBT - At 5:54 am the Kosciusko Fire Department responded to a house fire on Hwy 12 East. The caller said it was located next door to 717. Kosciusko Communications notified firefighters that the structure was involved in flames. Firefighters arrived on location and found heavy smoke pouring from the residence. Flames could be seen from the rear of the structure coming from one room of the home. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time. The State Fire Marshall was called to the location and arrived on scene at 8:00 am. An investigation to the cause of the fire is currently underway.
