The vehicle fire is just as dangerous as the structure fire. We never know what may be inside the car. Always wear full PPE. Glad to see that it was minor injury.

well i guess now this department will take a step back and redo their sop's for a vehicle fire. No hood, and no scba is one way to get burned

This happened to me the other day, but my department requires an SCBA on ALL vehicle fires. Hope the brother is OK and learned a leason.

Could have been a magnesium steering colum which we see more and more these days

wow. glad his ok but there is alot to learn from this. ALL PPE does include SCBA
