Firefighter Falling During Saving Your Own Training

Serious Training breeds Serious Results... This is no laughing matter, clearly this guy could have suffered a career ending injury or worse. I know someone who fell during saving our own training and is now paralyzed. So train as if your life depended on it.

This technique is taught everywhere, though not exactly like this.

The hoseline would be much more rigid and stable for the firefighter being raised if they were to use the appropriate charged hoseline and not a dry one.

I am not sure this method of training without a safety line and harness is safe.

Where is the outer shell of his helmet? The helmet looks incomplete and not compliant. Also no one checked his cylinder for damage at the time of the fall.

Notice how no one is taking the training very serious. All the laughing even the guy being brought up! No one giving direction until after the fall.
