I was told this was an open house demo - possibly during fire prevention week? There was an Emcee on the audio who was describing the evolution to the public. I was told the entry people seen in turnout gear were non-certified firefighters who were walked through what they were supposed to see and do. The walk through SIMULATED the evolution without the use of any fire.

It is obvious that they must be untrained, nobody would crawl into that intense fire, even firefighter #3 doesn't recognize the first two are in big trouble...

No fault to the injured, they were UNTRAINED and clearly didn't understand the limitations of our PPE. Ultimately the fault should be placed on the department's leadership and supervision.

You've got to be kidding. Can any one tell me what was being practiced here? Why would you enter a fully involved structure where even if this was a fireground operation the probability of victim survivability is zero and the risk benefit consideration is also negative.
If the fire didn't get them the immanent collapse will and lack of both a RIT and backup line completes the deal. I only hope the injuries weren't too severe and lessons were learned to prevent another practice like this
