As much of a problem that the fires caused, I have to agree Gregg. If most of the fires (and I dont honestly know) happened to be in abandoned houses, then im sure the city is fine with a little fire assisted urban renewal. The Arson rate in Detroit is disguistingly high, so this "freak" fire occurance could actually be a good thing for the city. Aslong as noone was injured, and no real property was destroyed.

Many of the houses are boarded up and abandoned. Maybe they are glad to have those gone
