NewsWorking. Allentown comm transmits the box at around 0345 for 1115 Tilghman Street on a house fire. Engines 9, 4, 10, truck 2, BC 3 (G. Scheirer) and FM 3 (F. Scheirer) fill the box.

FM 3 on arrival finds a three-story E/O/R with heavy smoke in the rear and multiple civilians trapped on the second floor of the smokey fire. FM 3 and Lt. Kutz of Engine 9 rescue two children and a father from the apartment. 6 civilians and two firefighters are transported to area hospitals. Due to the large number of people, the fire quickly escalates to 3 alarms. Everyone is in stable condition but one child, she is critical. Investigators determine the fire was arson.

I have seen many Allentown FD clips on this and other websites and it is uncanny to me how they always seem to do a great job. They appear to be aggressive, professional, fundamentally sound, disciplined, and well structured. Just another great job by the Allentown FD.
