swinging the hose is great if you have one, bail out rope and a tool, or ladder bailouts should all be taught under strict supervision and safety techniques so that IF you ever have to you can do this or the other techniques as safely as possible... I recall, in a Canadian forum everyone nay saying this operation, with what ifs.. and training options as unnessisary and dangerous... to trainnies , I gotta tell you This and the other techniques I mentioned are LIFE saving and for those of you who dont know, halyards that are tied incorrectly can kill people just as fast as the fire can.... are you prepared to jump face first out of a 3 or 4 story window without a ladder, because they are busy trying to untie the halyard that someone Tied into some master cluster ? or with one? as I said what if the hose isnt available to use to slide or cant be used? then what? that fire be licking your azz you be wishing you knew and were prepared with other options ..
