Job Function: EMT/Paramedic, Training Officer/Training Chief/Instructor, Firefighter/Driver Operator

My Training:: FFI, Fire Instructor II, EMS Educator(Instructor), Haz-Mat Ops, EMT, VRT and everything else.

About Me:: Emergency Services Specialist - One who has the training and has worked in all 5 parts of Emergency Services (police, fire, ems, haz-mat and dispatch). That would be me!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I had to go to the Fire Station every other Saturday to collect for my paper route. Lousey tippers too. You know who you are. Then they asked me to wax the roof of the engine. The Chief thought I should join for insurance purposes.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: Every once in a while you get a little satisfaction out of a job well done.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: At least in my area: staffing, training and mutual aid.
