Doing great, last time I saw you was at the Northwest Wildland Conference in the 90's. I have used the book several times for training new Officers and firefighter who needed reeducation on the facts of wildland fire. I have Wlliam Trie's book several times as well.

Last conference we meet I was a Lieutenant and have now made it up the later to Battalion Chief at Hanford Fire. When at conference, I was with Benton County FD #1 in Kennewick WA Retired when I made BC for HFD, thought at some time a conflict of interest might happen. IT DID. Better to get paid for them them than not. HAHA. You might have meet Bob Gear. He is CO-IC? on Hoff's Type I IMT.

Sort of quiet fire year here in Columbia Basin, but in our fuels all you need is a touch of wind and a match. DFM is maybe 5% or lower and we just hit our 3rd heat wave with lightning to follow again. Last week we got hit with 100 strikes on Hanford and USFWS lands (we have co-op with them) and only had 6 fires with biggest at 650 acres. Nicely it was boxed in with roads and rifle ranges of dirt. It never got a chance to run. This next run looks like it will hit us again! Bags are packed to stay at work beginning on Monday for several days.

You going to put out another training book, mine is just about worn out, need to learn more (gads brain is nearly full after 28 yrs, heck yours must be stashed in suitcases and boxes) HAHA. Later have to go to store for dinner, my night to cook.
