Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I am actually a Forest Ranger with the Forest Service....I did take my Basic Firefighter Training Class in April of this year....and last year I took my Basic Law-Enforcement....the second year that I volunteered for the Forest Service my friend and I were chased out of the caynon by a firestorm that was in 2003...I had never experienced anything like it.....but it was at that point that I knew that working up there in the forests was what I wanted to do...I learned a whole new respect for fire that day and for our firefighters who go out there and fight those fires.
