About Me:: Love the outdoors, softball, fishing, hunting, hiking, spending time with family and friends. Enjoy fire training and go to as many courses as I can.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Love to help people in their time of need plus it's in my family/blood. My father and 2 brothers are/were on the department for over 20 years. My sister-in-law joined the department about 10 years ago. My brother is the Fire Marshall in my town. I enjoy serving my community and it's citizens.I want to give back to the community that I grew up in.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: I enjoy helping others in their time of need. Also I love the brother/sisterhood of the fire service. Being part of a big family to help the people in my community.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Downsizing and funding(budget cuts). Lack of volunteer support during the day. Domestic Terrorism.

At 8:50am on January 24, 2010, brian white said…: hi kendra, myname is brian in may of '06i was diagnosed with cml. my white count at the time was 265,000.started cemo the next day. was in the hospital for 5 days.was on a great drug that kept everything in check for a year then it started to fail. i was then put on a new drug that was suposed to get me to trans plant but it actually put me into molecular remmision. been ther for almost two years now. praise the LORD!! i was told that there are more drug s approved that are even better so great strides are being made everyday. hang in there.hope things are going well for you since your last posting.
