I spent a year with LVAC: Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corp. I had to leave because of school but look forward to returning to their ranks.

My Training:

Firefighter 1, EMT-D, Search and Rescue Cert., Ice/Water Rescue, Erie County Radio Cert., Fire Police, Intro to Fire Officer, Incident Safety Officer, in house Driver for all light rescue vehicles

About Me:

If ever the term dinger applied to anyone its me. I dont care... I love what I do and am proud to be in the service. I am currrently finishing my degree in Criminal Justice at Buffalo State College and am looking forward to a career as a police officer or career firefighter.

I love to help people and am willing to go out of my way to do so. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you the favors I have done for them.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Simple... That look in a patients eyes when they know we are there to help. Also the words: "Working Structure Fire"

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Safety and Department Politics!!! It seems that we all get along just fine when it matters. However as soon as the call is over there is too much arguing about the small things that dont even apply to what we do. People need to realize we have a job to do and thats all that really matters.
