I am in Watrous which is near Las Vegas NM According to two cops up here its fine one a DOT that is also a volunteer fire fighter and one is just a state cop up here.

What part of New Mexico are you from? In my area we are not allowed to run lights on anything but official Department vehicles and Engines. Its per jurisdictional authority out here in Southern NM
