cody,
I am good friends with jamie also and she never told me her last name either but belinda told me it was "smith" so if that is right i do not know. thats one thing i regreted that neither of us exchanged last names. if you find out for sure please let me know.
For Those of you who were friends with Jamie, a FF from Houston. She was killed in a MVA in mid-late november. I just found out today from her sister. May She walk the halls of Vahalla in Peace.
Hey Everyone, not much going here. Leave for California in a few weeks, be out there for over a month. Then after that I go to Iraq. Hope all is well with you. Take care and be safe.
Tim,
There is a long list of quals that I want, the first two and most important are EMT-P and FF1 and 2. From there I want to get into specialized rescues such as extraction, high angle, MEDEVAC, and more. Thank you for your help, Hope to talk to you later
Cody;
I would base my decision on what level of EMT you would like to attain and the knowledge base you want. Brady books are generally, easy reading and written at a lower grade level. Mosby is college level reading and information as well as Jone and Bartlett's "EMERGENCY CARE IN THE STREETS" by Nancy Caroline. I am partial to this series because I was a reviewer for the addition that was just released. Jones and Bartlett also offers excellent online resources for people that purchase their textbooks.
It was nice hearing from you. Where are you going to be located when you get back to the states? The first step in becoming a Paramedic, you need to be an EMT. Have you taken an EMT class? I am located in Virginia and need to know where you will be in order to help you.
Sorry to hear about the 23 in your group God keep them close you stay safe..
Was asking about where you live because I have a brother that lives in Colorado near Denver He is in the Army reserves. I thought when you get home we could all get together for a beer.. I'm planing a trip out there in the near futrue would love to meet you. Keep in touch as to leaves and your return home GOD BLESS and KEEP YOU SAFE
